I qualified as a Doctor from Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School in 1998 and after working in hospitals in Kent I came to the Vale Medical Centre in 2003. Having grown up and been to school locally I am very familiar with the practice area and its population. I am a generalist but I do have a special interest in Diabetes.

I am a native of South London and have been a GP in Lewisham for over 20 years and been at the Vale since 2019. On the days I am not seeing patients, I work within the NHS to improve systems and organisations. Outside of work I enjoy cycling and tending to my garden.

I trained in Paris and worked in France for 16 years before joining the Vale Medical Centre in 2004.

This relocation experience has deeply improved both my medical and linguistic skills, and I am glad to have been part of this friendly team and to care for our local patients for so many years.  Coming from a multicultural background, I enjoy working with so different patients.

As a woman and as a mother, it is very important to me to promote child health, as well as women’s sexual health by providing the best support and care to my patients.

I also have a special interest in elderly care, and I dedicate some time to the local nursing home.

I started my nursing career in Liverpool, moving to London shortly after qualifying. I worked in Trauma and Emergency Care, later moving to ICU. I joined general practice in 2016 and since then have undertaken my independent prescribing qualification as well as additional advanced practice qualifications. In order to redirect attention away from my lack of hobbies outside of work, I’d like to mention that I have a dog. He is a very good boy.

I have worked in Primary care for the last 27 years, 12 years in the ‘Community Evening Service’ in Brixton and 15 years in General Practice, based in Lambeth, Southwark, Morden and Lewisham. I joined The Vale in January 2022 and so far I have enjoyed working with the team as they really are interested in helping people get the help they need. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, knitting, crochet and looking after my grand-daughter.

I started my career in care homes, and that is where I met Dr Israel Senior. From there I was offered a position at The Vale Medical Centre as an Administrator and Receptionist. As time passed I was given the opportunity to train as a Healthcare Assistant, and within that role I was trained to be a Phlebotomist which many of you know is my passion. I feel privileged to have worked here for over 23 years as part of a really great team.
